When size matters: carrying oversize house frames

Transporting steel house frames from the place of manufacture to a building site requires care and expertise.

Allroads Crane Truck Hire has a longstanding partnership with Hitek Steel Framing in Unanderra, carrying their innovative steel framing solutions to sites across the Illawarra and beyond.

We are currently transporting the frames for 60 units under construction in Sydney. Each load contains two or three packs of house frames. The width of the frames means these loads are classified as “oversize” and subject to special conditions by law.

Our team ensures all regulatory requirements for carrying oversize loads are met, including displaying the “oversize” sign and red and yellow flags, as well as an orange flashing light.

When planning your pick-up for an oversize load, keep in mind that there are time-of-day restrictions which generally means loads need to be carried outside of peak times.  

While there are also restrictions on routes, especially in Sydney and the inner suburbs, our team of experienced operators can take care of all the logistics and get your load to site efficiently and safely.
